I’ll never get over Amalfi. From the dramatic cliffs to the delicious bites, everything is just better. What made it even more meaningful? Getting to watch my mom get married! Sharing this place with her and watching her step into a new season was something I’ll never forget.

Our Day-to-Day in the Amalfi Coast
DAY 1 + 2
We traveled from BNA to JFK to FCO, and were supposed to fly straight into Naples (NAP), but our connecting flight was canceled. Instead of waiting around for 6+ hours, we made the decision to take a train from the FCO airport into Rome, transfer to the high-speed train, and take that into Naples. It turned into a full-on 23-hour travel day.
Tip: If you can, line up a private driver to get you from Naples to Amalfi in advance. Ours was at the airport, not the train station, so we had to hop in a friend’s taxi to connect. Also, a little tip for those who get motion sickness like I do, TAKE NON DROWSY DRAMAMINE for that drive. The roads are tight, curvy, and full of sharp turns. And the drivers? They’re real fast. Between tour buses and cliffside corners, it’s a ride to say the least, lol.
When we finally arrived at the hotel, we ate dinner on the property, and I had my first spaghetti alle vongole (AKA known as spaghetti with clams). Dreamy!

Day 3
11.5 hours of sleep (!!) and, shockingly, no jet lag for the rest of the trip. Pretty sure that first solid night saved me. We walked into the town of Amalfi from our hotel (yes, walked… up and down what felt like a million steps. My calves were sore for two days. Worth it). We wandered, did a little shopping, and had our very first Aperol spritz of the trip. Officially in vacation mode. Chris grabbed a sandwich from Luisa Gastronomia Artigianale, and no exaggeration, he later said it was one of the best sandwiches of his life. I can confirm it was divine!
We headed back to the hotel to lounge by the infinity pool. Cliffside views, warm sun, total bliss. Later that evening, we got ready and walked back into town for dinner at Taverna Buonvicino. Hands down, one of our favorite meals of the entire trip. Gorgeous ambiance, the kindest hospitality, and every single bite was perfection.

Day 4
Boat day to Capri, and honestly, it was everything. We rented the prettiest boat and cruised along the coast with sunshine on our faces and spritzes in hand. Capri was the destination, and the vibes were high.
We had the dreamiest lunch at Ristorante Il Geranio. The views were unreal, the energy was effortless, and the food? It actually made me emotional (lol but seriously). Naturally, I did a little shopping after and completely fell in love with Capri. Like… I get it now. We all said the same thing. We need to come back and stay longer next time.
On the way back to the boat, I grabbed a limone sorbetto that literally changed my life. Not being dramatic -I had one almost every day after that. A core memory. We sailed back to Amalfi, had a laid-back dinner at the hotel, perfect day!

DAY 5
Wedding day! I started the morning in my swimsuit (currently obsessed with Stylist swimsuits), with a cappuccino by the pool (I had at least 2 every morning), read my book, and relaxed before getting ready with my mom, sister, and her best friend Victoria who is like another little sister to me. My mom’s ceremony was set on a stunning cliffside location, and just as they said their vows, the church bells started ringing all across Amalfi. Turns out the new pope had just been elected! Though we aren’t Catholic, it was still such a powerful, serendipitous moment! We wrapped up the day with a beautiful dinner al fresco at the hotel.

DAY 6
Beach club day in Positano. Hands down one of my favorite days. We booked a spot at La Scogliera, which was definitely a splurge but so worth it! Incredible service, unforgettable food, and postcard-worthy views. The lemon butter caviar pasta I had there was my favorite pasta of the entire trip – one of those bites where you think “is this real?” and talk about it for years.
Where We Stayed
We stayed at the beautiful Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, a former 13th-century monastery perched above the coastline with views that genuinely don’t look real. This hotel was truly a dream. The history alone made it special, but the modern updates and details made it feel both luxurious and inviting. Our room overlooked the sea, and every corner of the property had something beautiful to discover.
What We Ate
The food on the Amalfi Coast deserves its own spotlight. From handmade lemon pasta to just-caught seafood, everything was fresh and full of flavor.
Food Highlights:
• Taverna Buonvicino
• Ristorante Il Geranio in Capri
• La Scogliera Beach Club in Positano
I also grabbed cappuccinos and fresh pastries every morning at a small café just off the square. Simple and perfect.

What I Wore
The energy in Amalfi is romantic and sun-soaked, so I leaned into breezy fabrics, woven accessories, and soft, natural colors. I wore a lot of color, linen, easy pieces that felt effortless but still put together, and of course, a stunning satin dress for my mom’s wedding day. Click here for everything I wore in Italy.

The Experience
I left with a full heart, about 1,000 photos of the coastline, and a craving for limone sorbetto that still hasn’t gone away. Amalfi felt like magic, and it’s a place that truly stays with you.
Can you list out hotel names where you stayed? How many days at each and if you would do it differently, what would that be?
Hi there! I have all of that listed in the blog posts 🙂 only thing I would’ve done differently is maybe just 2 destinations instead of 3. It was too much travel!
Can you tell us where you rented the boat? Any good companies you recommend? Thanks!
I think the company was Capri Relax Boats!
