CRISPY BAKED BLUE CHEESE with Hot Honey

Ingredients

  • 5.5 ounce Blue Cheese Wedge, I used Treasure Cave
  • 1/3 cup Panko Bread crumbs, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • hot honey

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 420 degrees
  2. Set up 3 bowls - one with flour, one with beaten egg, and the other with seasoned panko bread crumbs
  3. Dip the entire blue cheese wedge into the flour first, dusting off any excess. Then dip in the beaten egg, and finally into the panko crumbs - ensuring every side is covered
  4. Place onto a parchment sheet lined baking sheet and bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, keeping a close eye not to burn.
  5. If needed, broil for 2-3 minutes more to give more color. Take out of the oven, drizzle with hot honey, and serve immediately with bread or crackers
