CRESCENT WRAPPED MAPLE BROWN SUGAR + FIG BAKED BRIE ??
While that may be the longest recipe title of all time, I could’ve made it longer. ? There are so many things I want to say to describe this recipe, but my Mama said it best, “It tastes like a cinnamon roll baked Brie.” Recipe below!
INGREDIENTS:
Brie wheel
1 can crescent rolls
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg + 1 tbsp water for egg wash
1 tbsp fig jam
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small sauce or sauté pan, toss in pecans, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla over medium heat. Stir until pecans thicken, then take off the heat. In a pie or baking dish set Brie down and spoon fig jam on top. After that, spoon the pecan maple mixture over the jam. Very carefully unroll the crescent sheet on top of the Brie, pinching together underneath- making sure no part of the Brie is expose. Using a pastry brush (or in my case my hands since mine is packed away somewhere lol), brush the egg wash over every part of the crescent. Bake for 20 min, or until crescent is golden brown and Brie is melty. If you notice the crescent browning too early, throw a sheet of foil over the top to slow it down. Take out immediately and enjoy!
