Welcome

I’m Cortney

If you asked me to tell you the story of my life, I’d probably start with what we were eating.

I’m Cortney LaCorte—creator of Cheese Gal, home cook, host, mom of two, and author of my debut cookbook, Oversharing. I believe the best conversations happen around the table, the butter belongs on the counter (and it better be salted), and that an ordinary Tuesday deserves just as much attention as a holiday dinner.

Cheese Gal began in a tiny Nashville kitchen in 2019, inspired by my mom, Darci, who taught me the art of making people feel welcome, and my godmother, Kar, who taught me how to build my very first cheeseboard. What started as making boards for friends and family quickly grew into a business, then into a full-time career creating recipes, hosting inspiration, and showing millions of people that elevated doesn’t have to mean complicated.

Today, you’ll find me sharing seasonal recipes, relaxed entertaining ideas, and the little details that make everyday moments feel special—whether that’s a garden-fresh dinner, an unapologetically dirty martini, or a last-minute appetizer that looks like you spent all day on it. Through my videos, my newsletter, and Oversharing, my goal is simple: help you cook with confidence, host without stress, and create the kind of memories people talk about long after the plates have been cleared.
