Ingredients

  • 20 ounces corn
  • 1 C of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 C of milk
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Lawry’s seasoned salt and more to taste
  • Cracked pepper

Method

  1. Bring the milk and cream to a simmer in a pot, then add in the corn and return to a simmer
  2. Mix the melted butter with the flour and add to the pot, stir, and again return everything to a low simmer
  3. Add in the sugar, Lawry’s salt, and pepper, then taste
  4. Adjust seasonings to your liking, stir everything together, and let the creamed corn thicken at a gentle simmer for another 10 minutes or so, stirring every few minutes until the desired thickness has been reached
