Bring the milk and cream to a simmer in a pot, then add in the corn and return to a simmer
Mix the melted butter with the flour and add to the pot, stir, and again return everything to a low simmer
Add in the sugar, Lawry’s salt, and pepper, then taste
Adjust seasonings to your liking, stir everything together, and let the creamed corn thicken at a gentle simmer for another 10 minutes or so, stirring every few minutes until the desired thickness has been reached
