This is your sign to make this STUNNING margarita to transport us mentally from winter tundras to the beach. The Cara Cara orange is basically the cousin of the blood orange and a in the Sam family tree of the navel orange. It’s juice is sweet + tart and as you can see, the color is gorrrrrgeous.

Since it is lower in acidity, I didn’t want to jolt the tastebuds with using only lime juice. I opted to also use lemon as well, to give a more subtle pop and muddled it with honey for sweetness. Then comes the star of the show… our @DosPrimos Reposado. You guys know this is my go to tequila, as it’s not only delicious, easy to drink but incredibly versatile! By using a Reposado in this Margarita, the honey notes in the tequila really stood out in an elegant way. The recipe is below Can’t wait to hear what you think!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 ounces Dos Primos Reposado Tequila
  • Half of a cara cara orange, plus the zest
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice, plus the zest
