My Father In Law, Bill, is the BEST cook. Every time we come into town the spreads are insane. In fact, Chris definitely takes after his Dad. Anyways, for the past 8-9 years, every time we come visit, Bill makes this breakfast casserole, and it’s my FAVORITE. I eat it periodically throughout the day actually. 😂 He is sharing the recipe with us! Woop. It’s perfect to serve a crowd (the recipe serves 12) and reheats like a dream. So honestly this is the ultimate hosting breakfast and it’s so delicious. Recipe below!
1/2 cup milk
1 lb breakfast sausage
8 ounces cream cheese
2 cans (8 ounce) crescent rolls
2 cups shredded cheese
Preheat oven to 375. Beat eggs and add milk. Scramble eggs, and then set aside. Brown sausage, then when cooked, add cream cheese and stir to combine. Then, add in eggs to sausage. Stir well. In an ungreased 13X9 baking dish, unroll 1 can of crescent rolls. Press down, and then spread sausage mixture on top. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of the sausage / egg. Lay out remaining crescent roll and bake for 25 minutes. Enjoy!
Looks excellent! Definitely will make it this weekend.
Omg I’m drooling…I love breakfast casseroles for holidays! It’s only my husband and myself. If I just half everything do you think I’ll have success with it? Does the cooking time ir temp change? Thanks so much!! ❤️❤️
