Strawberry + Blue Cheese Bites

Share:

Apps, Snacks

Need an appetizer for Memorial Day that is no bake, no fuss, and you can put together in 5 minutes? THIS IS IT. Years ago, my best friend’s Mama (my second mom basically), Barb, made these for us before dinner and I’ve thought about them ever since. So today for the first time in probably 10-15 years (can’t remember the exact date lol) I made them! So easy and SO delicious. You have to make them!

INGREDIENTS:
Strawberries
Blue cheese of your choice (I prefer a creamy, tangy blue like Roquefort)
Balsamic Reduction
Chopped walnuts
Sliced Basil
Flaky Salt
Black pepper

DIRECTIONS:
Leaving the stems on the strawberries, slice in half lengthwise and set on a serving platter. Crumble blue cheese with a fork, being careful not to make the crumbles too small. Place blue cheese crumbles on each strawberry half, then drizzle with balsamic reduction. Sprinkle walnuts and basil on top, followed by flaky salt and pepper. THAT IS IT!

Enjoy!

Where the magic happens

Elevated Canned Cinnamon Rolls 🥞 INGREDIENTS: 1 c Elevated Canned Cinnamon Rolls 🥞

INGREDIENTS:
1 can of (5) jumbo cinnamon rolls (any brand words, just needs to be the kind that unravels / is layered)
Heavy cream
2-3 tbsp salted butter, melted
2-3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon (could also use pumpkin pie spice 😍)
1/2 tsp (to a tsp lol) vanilla

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Arrange the cinnamon rolls in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Pour just enough heavy cream to cover the bottom of the dish, in between the rolls (around, not on top of). Combine melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla, then spoon over the top of each roll. Cover with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes. Add the icing (can make your own if you really want!) and serve immediately. You’re welcome! ;)

Have you ever made Franks Hot Sauce Butter, then marinated your saltines and crisped them up in the oven? Well, this is your sign if you haven’t. I was wanting to make something similar to the Franks Red Hot Goldfish collab but saltines with a little “Firecracker” (iykyk) twist. Hope you love these!

INGREDIENTS:
⅓ cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
5 tablespoons salted butter, melted and cooled slightly
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
Coarsely ground black pepper
1 sleeve Saltine crackers

In a liquid measuring cup, combine the Frank’s Red Hot sauce, butter, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, and a few grinds of black pepper. Whisk until combined.

Add butter mixture and crackers to a gallon sized resealable plastic bag. Seal and turn the bag over a few times to coat the crackers in the spicy butter. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes, turning the bag occasionally.

Preheat the oven to 300°F with a rack in the center position. On a rimmed baking sheet, arrange the crackers in a single layer. Season with pepper. Note: the saltines will be soggy and that’s ok! Just proceed carefully and if some break no biggie.

Bake for 30 minutes, rotating the sheet from front to back once, until the crackers are crisp. Cool completely. Serve immediately or keep in an airtight container for 4 to 5 days- if they last in your house that long!

#WalmartPartner I might not know who is playing bu #WalmartPartner I might not know who is playing but I DO know we’re putting a little brie + prosciutto on potato chips. 🏈

Brie, prosciutto, hot honey, and thyme bites, a cheesy pepper jelly dip, and apple cider… this is all that really matters to me. If you’re on snack duty too, try Sparky in the @walmart app for a little game day inspiration. Go sports.
